As a fully licensed, insured, and bonded excavation firm, we continually train our people in new work requirements and safety standards. Our workforce completes regular training in areas of particular concern in the construction industry, such as confined space, fall protection, rigging, forklift certification, first aid, as well as occupational health and safety training. Our work crews also hold daily toolbox talks at each and every job site to identify individual safety hazards of the particular job site, and necessary precautions to be taken.

Our safety program and policies ensure employees and supervisors understand the procedures and responsibilities needed to administer, coordinate, and implement safe practices including:

• Proper job instruction
• Frequent review of safe working practices
• Adequate supervision

Management continually works to develop, implement and improve a safety program consistent with WorkSafeBC regulations, and for motivating supervisors and employees to follow program objectives and policies to prevent potential accidents.

Supervisors and foremen strive to eliminate unsafe conditions and practices by providing on-the-job training and enforcement of safety regulations and procedures.

All employees follow appropriate safety regulations, rules and procedures. Each employee is responsible for being constantly alert to his or her own safety and the safety of fellow employees, and for practicing and promoting safe work habits.
